agreed. I think what I didn't say in its full form is how designers use 'systemic' as a cop-out. It's because they've tapped into certain systems that help them better control, and influence, the things they care about.

Of course, this means they've considered others meaningless. I didn't realize that until I read your post, but I'm gonna check that in my language moving forward.
