Development moves in stages. Culture makes gaps, makes institutional focus, makes funding, makes culture. A lot of the times, however, there’s a gap in how these issues are addressed. Most of the times, those issues fail to account for problems that aren’t easily solved by technocratic solutions.

I’d argue, soon enough, the ‘it girl’ will be another development fad; like many others before it. We’ll see.
