I appreciate your journey here.

As one that specializes in understand the field as a whole, I can verify: though these are problems, the attractiveness of addressing these types of problems are riddled by privileges and history few people aim to understand. (White Man’s burden, as a topic, gets to this point in a harrowing manner.)

Which is why I agree with your points. Starting where you are, and doing the work to be a morally solid human in every part of your life today, is better than aspirational intentions.

So, brava on your writing!
