But, what I notice, is that by applying this rule to you and your mentors, you might lose the chance to represent other principles that you find important.
By wholly giving one’s self up to ownership, we lose the chance to honor history: specifically, by honoring the people whose foundations we stand on daily.
Some might think by citing others, you’re not owning the concept yourself. And, that might be true. However, there is power in quoting a statement, and its creator; because it shows others the people you honor, and thus what you honor as a result.
But, I understand the decision. Keep striving!
