This metaphor speaks exactly to this reality and what it implies; that community members are running full-steam ahead into their identities as parasites of their own creation. However, instead of being cherubic fetuses, they're feeding off of society, drastically more than they're contributing to it.

A question I'd ask others: who, and how, could community members push against this dynamic? And, what metaphor better represents community support, engagement, and development?
